Hooray for C.J. and Mia!!!!!

C.J. and Mia have both completely recovered from their leg surgeries and have been released from the veterinarian's care!!!

Both of these wonderful kittied needed complex (and expensive) surgery to be free of pain and able to live a normal life. Thanks to our generous supporters who contributed to the "C.J. Surgery Fund", River Cities was able to get these two sweet girls the help they needed. They are both doing great; you'd never know they had any problems!

And here's even more good news!!!! C.J. has been adopted by a wonderful young family. Here's an excerpt from an email from Sherri, C.J.'s new "mom": "She runs up and down the house, purring and meowing as if she is so excited to start another day! Our hearts are filled with thanks for the many people who donated to her fund to help her get the surgery she needed...we are so blessed to have her with our family!"

Mia is back in the "Girls' Room" enjoying her favorite pastimes of eating, napping, eating, napping, etc. She loves to be petted and is waiting for that special person to adopt her. She needs a quiet home with no other cats and a purrson (or purrsons) who can giver her lots of love and lap time.

Our heartfelt thanks go out once again to all of you who donated to "C.J.'s Surgery Fund". In our next newsletter, we'll tell you how the remaining monies in the fund are being used to help other special-needs kitties.

Shelter Hours

1:00 – 4:45 p.m.
Tuesday thru Saturday (Closed Sundays, Mondays, & Holidays.)

In an effort to reduce our operating expenses, the Cat Shelter is now closed on Monday as well as Sunday.  On days when the Shelter is closed to the public, we can operate with only one employee on duty.
